Charlie Atwood Named Superintendent

rinity Christian School is excited to welcome Charlie Atwood as its new Superintendent. Mr. Atwood is starting his twelfth year as a Christian school administrator. Prior to taking the position at Trinity Christian, he served 10 years as founding Jr/Sr High School Principal of Grace Christian School in Armstrong County Pennsylvania and a year as the Head of School at Erie First Christian Academy.
Mr. Atwood is currently pursuing a PhD. in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty. He earned an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, a Masters in Secondary Education and Bachelors in English Literature from Slippery Rock University, and also holds a degree in communications/journalism.
In addition to his experience as an administrator, Mr. Atwood has served on ACSI accreditation committees, featured as a conference speaker and mentor in Christian school professional development circles.
“My wife Jenny, my daughters, and I are very excited to join the school,” said Atwood. “My goal as a superintendent is to make sure we have a great blend of faith-learning integration; that we have those rigorous academic standards, but that we also are incorporating a Christian worldview training.”
