Closing Out September

During the course of this week, we closed out September and entered October with music, celebrations, and service. It is sometimes hard to believe how much can be packed into a week of school life!

By all accounts, our Warrior band did a great job performing in the Buckwheat Festival School Day Parade last Friday. The band worked very hard to prepare, and the audience was rewarded that day.

On Tuesday, we had our first Finale of the year. If you are new to Trinity Christian, the monthly Finale is set aside for the student body to come together for worship, honor students for Fruit of the Spirit awards, and more. Our September Finale featured those elements, along with a presentation by the Christian Leadership students about Operation Christmas Child, our first semester community outreach project.

The Christian Leadership class served at the Scott’s Run Settlement House food pantry on Wednesday. They helped pack over 100 bags for students at local Monongalia County schools and helped unload several pallets of canned goods.

The soccer team celebrated Senior Night last night with a decisive 7-0 win over Lincoln. TONIGHT is the volleyball team’s Senior Night. Let’s see a great crowd for the game! The seniors will be honored after the JV game and before the varsity game against rival Clay-Battelle. The JV game starts at 6 PM, and the varsity game begins at approximately 7 PM. Let’s go, Lady Warriors!

Lastly, you won’t want to miss Annie Jr.! Performances are tonight through Saturday at 7:30 PM in the Chapel. There is also a 2:00 PM matinee this Saturday. The cast has been rehearsing diligently, and it is sure to be an entertaining show.
