Deep Roots

“Deep Roots. Strong Faith. Overflowing Love.”
Our theme for the year, inspired by Ephesians 3:17-19, continues to resonate as the school year unfolds. Whether it’s growing deeper in our love for Christ, in academic knowledge, in skill sets, or in relationships, this theme is evident.
This week, our students were learning and growing in all these areas.
We witnessed our athletes display great skill and compete with such heart! The result is that our cross-country teams delivered a milestone moment at the WVSSAC A Region 2 Championship. The girls captured the first Regional Championship in school history, and the boys secured only the second Regional title for our program. Both girls and boys teams have advanced to the state meet, and this was accomplished with no seniors. Amazing! We can’t wait to see how they do at States.
Also, our soccer team made it all the way to the Regional final, capping off an amazing season with a thriller of a game. The Warriors were down 3-1 in the 2nd half and came back to tie it. After 2 scoreless OTs, it went to a shootout, and Frankfort won in sudden death. We couldn’t be prouder of the team, Coach Lohmann, and his coaching staff.
The Lady Warriors are continuing in Regional play as they compete in the consolation round next Monday. We’re rooting for them to keep their season alive.
Other highlights this week include the startup of a middle school boys’ Bible study, a high school flag football game, the annual middle school bonfire, Chapel, and classroom projects. We pray that our students and staff continue to grow deep roots in all areas of their lives: academically, socially, physically, and especially spiritually.
