Fixing Our Eyes
Posted on September 11, 2025
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)
Today, our nation solemnly remembers the horrific attack on our country twenty-four years ago on September 11, 2001. That memory, along with so many headlines of violence and tragedies across our nation and worldwide, can easily cause us to lose heart. God’s Word never shies away from the difficulties of this life, but it always directs us where we ultimately need to fix our eyes: squarely on Jesus Christ, our Savior. He is the One we point our students to for life, strength, and hope.
So in the midst of trouble, we look to Him. In our celebrations, we look to Him. In our moments of weakness, we look to Him. When we feel strong, let’s be sure to look to Him.
We are grateful for our students. Many of them are experiencing their own set of difficulties and triumphs. May we always encourage them to fix their eyes on Him.
