For the Win
Posted on October 23, 2025
This post comes on the heels of the soccer team’s hard-fought battle last night, advancing them to host the Regional semifinal game this Saturday (vs. Moorefield at 3 PM). We’re so excited to see the team advance!
As we reflect on this week, athletics are among the many ways our students are winning. Here are just a few examples, starting with our sports teams:
- Our #5 Lady Warriors high school volleyball team has been hard at work preparing for Regionals next week, when they play #4 Magnolia. We’re so proud of them!
- Our middle school cross-country team had a great showing with three runners medaling at the Mason-Dixon Championship to end their season.
- The season has come to an end for our middle school volleyball team. These ladies showed growth in many ways this season. We love how they, and all our athletic teams, boldly gather to pray at their contests.
- Our Leadership Class is learning how to serve and lead as they oversee our school-wide fall semester community outreach for Operation Christmas Child.
- While they work on new projects, our elementary art students learn a great deal: how to follow instructions, develop fine motor skills, and the satisfaction of creating something beautiful.
- Trinity’s award-winning Thespian Troupe #12393 is aiming to compete again this year, with a one-act play written by Director Colton Daft. The cast is set and rehearsals have begun. We’ll share more details in the coming days.
- Music students are practicing patriotic songs for Veterans Day as they learn to honor the men and women who have served our country. Be sure to turn your volume on to hear our fourth graders sing, “God Bless the USA” with great enthusiasm.
- And last, but certainly not least, the Class of 2026 continues to check off boxes on the senior tradition list. Their recent annual White Day photos may elicit some tears (and a few chuckles with a silly pose). The photos turned out beautifully and will eventually become part of the lobby collage, along with seniors from years past. We’re thankful to call these students “Warriors!”
The biggest win of all is the daily opportunity to encourage our students to grow in their faith in Christ through prayer, Bible class, conversations, and all the activities at the school. As one of our teachers expressed this morning at a staff prayer meeting, not everyone has the freedom to pray and proclaim Christ in their school. What a gift we’ve been given!
