From Trial to Tradition
Posted on November 6, 2025
Over the years, the school has tried many new initiatives. Some fall by the wayside after a trial run–they don’t have staying power.
But the ones that do become tradition.
The Warrior Gauntlet, our Hoop-A-Thon*, and the monthly Finale are just a few of those now-treasured traditions featured in this week’s blog. It has been rewarding to watch our students make memories by building on these events over the years. It’s all about creating a rich school culture that helps students grow academically, socially, physically, and spiritually.
And while they aren’t traditions, our weekly chapel services are crucial to fulfilling our school’s mission. Today, the fifth-grade led the elementary chapel, performing skits to remind us of truth’s from God’s Word that can shape our actions by His power.
Only time will tell if we’re watching new traditions, such as the alumni soccer game, unfold this year. We’re thankful to be along on this journey.
*Today was the preschool Hoop-A-Thon and tomorrow is our K-12 Hoop-A-Thon. To support our students by donating to this year’s Hoop-A-Thon, click here.
