Joy and Humility

“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” ~ Psalm 8:3-4
In the past week, our school community has come together for two very different events with two very distinct missions: the Warriors for Hope Pack-a-Thon and our annual Night of the Arts. Reflecting on both, it’s hard not to feel simultaneously humbled and filled with joy at being part of our school.
For our first Warriors for Hope Pack-a-Thon, our mentor students and their buddies packed over 11,000 meals for local food banks, 100 backpacks for children entering foster care, and raised XXXXX for Tuition Assistance in 3 hours! They completed the tasks well under the projected time while still packing 1,000 more meals than the original goal. We are still a little shy of our $30,000 goal for Tuition Assistance, so if you’d like to help us reach it, please visit our event giving page.
Just a few days later, our halls were transformed into an art gallery featuring stunning student artwork crafted from a variety of media. Midway through the event, guests poured into the gym to enjoy performances by the elementary choirs, the band, and the theatre department, with the high school Praise Team finishing the evening with songs of worship. It was the perfect way to end a night filled with wonder at the way God displays His glory through His creation!
Two very different events, yet both reflecting the same amazing God!
