Memory Bank
Posted on April 30, 2026
Here it is, the last day of April. With less than a month of school left, these last few weeks represent the culmination of everything that has happened earlier in the year. These weeks are filled with field trips, ceremonies, celebrations, and graduations. Yes, it may feel like both our calendars and energy levels are depleted, but with each activity, our memory banks are filling up!
Within the past week, 98 of our high school students and their chaperones loaded up two charter buses and headed to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to see the stage production of Joshua at Sight and Sound. The next day, they visited Hershey Park, where they had a great time despite getting “soaked to the bone.”
Similarly, our fifth-graders traveled to Harpers Ferry, our fourth-graders went to the Kamin Science Center, and our sixth-graders made several stops to sights in Pittsburgh, including the Heinz History Center. And today, our Student Council is preparing for tomorrow night’s prom.
So many memories have been deposited, and there are more to be made.
These times are precious. We need to soak them up and savor them. They are fleeting—a bit exhausting perhaps—but fleeting; so make the memories and treasure them. We are blessed to be making them together.
