One Step Further
Posted on May 22, 2025
Yesterday marked one step further.
One step further for our seniors as they head to college, trade school, or a career.
One step further for our eighth-graders as they enter high school.
One step further for our fifth-graders as they move into middle school.
One step further for our kindergarteners who will be in elementary school.
All of our students—no matter their age—are one step further in God’s story for their lives. That’s a cause for celebration!
We’re celebrating our seniors who have amassed over $1,025,000 in accepted scholarships to date. Our students’ growth in service, leadership, and academics. Our softball team making it to States for the first time in school history. A strong showing of our track athletes qualifying for States. We have so many reasons to celebrate! But of all the accolades and achievements, we pray our students are one step further in their walk with Christ.
At White Day Chapel yesterday, the senior praise team members led us in worship one last time, with the popular song, “Goodness of God.” They surprised us by adding a timely and touching ending to the song written by seniors Abigail Fisher and Taylor Stephens:
“As we take one step further into Your plan, we’ll trust that You will be the light that guides our path. And in everything that we do, we’ll choose to follow you. And we will sing of the goodness of God. Because we’ve lived in the goodness of God. We’ll always sing of the goodness of God.”
It was a perfect ending to the chapel service, and the year. As we take one step away from this school year and into the next chapter, we will sing of God’s goodness to us.
