Serving Up Kindness

During today’s high school chapel, our seniors fielded questions from underclassmen about their high school experiences and also offered advice. The tone of the discussion ranged from lighthearted to serious as the seniors shared perspectives on everything from their favorite lunch spot, the teacher they’d miss most, juggling sports and academics, and more. It was especially poignant to hear several seniors encourage younger students to consider how they treat others and take care to be kind to themselves.

Kindness takes work, and it is a work in progress for all of us. But it’s great to hear that our students are aware of the importance of being kind.

On the topic of kindness, our teachers and staff have been blown away by the abundance of food, gifts, and other treats for Teacher Appreciation Week from our Warrior students, parents, and grandparents, joyfully organized and served by our Staff Encouragement Committee. The expressions of love and appreciation are overwhelming! Thank you all!

Speaking of serving, two of our tennis players served up wins at Regionals and are headed to States! Catharine Street won the Region II singles championship and was joined by Scarlett Maynard to win the Region II pairs title. Congratulations, Catharine and Scarlett! We can’t wait to see how you do at States!

That’s not all that took place this week: the Prom, class projects, field trips, baseball senior night, and so much more. Above all, God’s kindness reigns supreme. He is so good to us!
