Taking the Lead
Posted on November 20, 2025
Our fall service project took center stage this week when the Christian Leadership and Service class organized and oversaw our annual global outreach: filling shoeboxes for children in need through Operation Christmas Child. Mentor students and their younger “buddies” worked together to fill the boxes with toys, school supplies, personal items, and more. After packing the boxes, students prayed for the recipients and piled them neatly around the foyer Christmas tree. By the end of the day, the students had packed and stacked over 100 shoeboxes.
The service project was a great opportunity for the Christian Leadership and Service students to take the lead and apply what they have learned under the guidance of their teacher, Meredith Marsh. It was also a way for all our students to express the love of Christ by reaching out to those less fortunate.
Whether at school, church, or in the community, we love to see our students develop their leadership skills. It’s just one more way we can “educate for life.”
