Thanks for the Memories

Our Lady Warriors’ season ended today at the West Virginia State Basketball Tournament in Charleston, but what a season it was! We couldn’t be prouder of this team for fighting its way back to the State Tournament after a 4-year drought. This group of girls earned the titles of OVAC runner-up, WVSSAC Sectional Champs, and WVSSAC Regional Champs, displaying skill, determination, and heart each step of the way.

We are sad to see their season end but are grateful for all the outstanding moments and memories the Lady Warriors gave us this year.

Despite the girls’ exit from the tournament, Warrior basketball fever continues. Last night, the boys’ team won the regional title to secure a spot at States with a decisive 51-28 win against Moorefield. We are rooting for them to keep their season going for a few more games!

It’s only fitting to give a Warrior Shout-Out to the cheerleaders who have faithfully rooted for both teams this season. Way to go, cheerleaders!

Basketball may be making the headlines this week, but other noteworthy events also occurred. It was Read Across America Week in elementary with a fun focus on Dr. Seuss’s books and themes. Eighth-grader Ean Barry presented Navigating History in Darkness and Silence at the State Social Studies and History Fair. We had a pep rally, a dance party, a special chapel time, and lots more. So enjoy the look back at this week.

And if you see one of our high school girl basketball players, please tell them thanks for the memories!
