Who’s Your Hero?

From celebrities to sports figures to comic books, our culture is drawn to superheroes. While the stories about these heroes—real or imagined—are entertaining, Jesus is the ultimate hero and the only one worthy of our praise. That’s the point that Coach Jason White helped drive home today during a fun and thought-provoking secondary chapel. Using scriptures, including Colossians 1:16-17, he reminded us that none of our earthly heroes can fill the void that only Christ can. He is the only one who can forgive, transform, and save us.
For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. ~ Colossians 1:16-17
We are thankful for our weekly chapel times, which provide our students with the opportunity to gather together in worship and learn more about our hero, Jesus!
