Moving Up, Moving On

Our students’ memory-making continues as they’ve shared more exciting experiences over the past several days. From The Lion King Kids production (It was amazing!) to the eighth-grade’s whirlwind tour of the state to our seniors’ last day of school, it’s been another jam-packed week.

This is the point in the school year where we begin marking the “lasts.” The last day of classes is next week. We held our last monthly finale on Wednesday. Our kindergarten, fifth-grade, and eighth-grade classes will hold their promotion ceremonies this Friday as they move up to elementary, middle school, and high school. And next week, our seniors will walk across the stage with diplomas in hand, to turn the final page of their high school chapter.

These last days are so full, as are our hearts. Because without the “lasts,” our students can’t step into new experiences, new opportunities, and new growth. So we will savor each special tradition, ceremony, athletic competition, and fun event, knowing that while the time won’t last, the memories and relationships will.

Yes, students will be moving up and moving on to new adventures and new challenges, but no matter where they are, they will remain under the watchful eye of our faithful God. We will be praying and cheering for them along the way!
