Answered prayer!
Posted on July 2, 2020
Did you ever pray for something so long that you almost forget to expect an answer? We have a prayer board in the main office of the school where staff members post various prayer needs for the school. For several years now, we have dreamt of and prayed for a cafeteria for our students. Some days it seemed a far-off prospect. Yet, today we are one step closer to realizing that dream.
We’ll let our Superintendent Michelle Stellato tell the story:
“Recently we stumbled upon an opportunity to buy Hot Diggity Dogz in Westover…as a way to expand our experiential learning opportunities for secondary students, grow the Business class experience and provide a secondary revenue stream for the school. We investigated this option for over a month. We knew that if the business wasn’t successful the purchase would become an investment into the future full service kitchen we so desire for the school.
In the end, we decided this was not the right time to make this move. We informed the owner and moved on. Honestly, this was very hard for me as I had felt a strong calling to this crazy idea for our school and I felt guilty for utilizing so much of our precious time developing a simple business plan and investigating this option. BUT… God had a bigger plan!
Last week I received a call from the owner. The Haught Family has decided to GIVE Trinity the equipment from the shop and not sell the business to anyone else. So while we will not be expanding our experiential learning to a storefront in Westover, we will be thinking about how we might use this new gift to benefit our students!”
Although He has shown us His faithfulness time and again, we are once again amazed at how God’s plan has unfolded! Through the generous gift from the Haught family, we are one step closer to being able to serve our students meals prepared on-site and eventually having a cafeteria! Will you join us in praising God for this gift and asking Him to help us to use it according to His plan? If you would like to join us in thanking the Haught family, jump on over to the Haught Diggity Dogz Facebook post about the gift and leave a comment.
