Drawing to a close

Activities are ramping up while classes draw to a close. We finished out last week with the high school regional track meet where 20 athletes qualified for states, and 5 of them became regional champions! How exciting is that? Our eighth-graders completed a memorable trip exploring our state. We also had a great turnout for the masquerade-themed high school prom.

This week, elementary classes took center stage as many visited local attractions for field trips and presented year-end projects. It is always fun to see the students’ enthusiasm as they share what they have learned!

The end of the school year means that the class of 2022 will be honored with ceremonies and celebrations. All their hard work will pay off when they cross the stage and receive their diplomas during commencement next Friday, May 27, at 6 p.m. In the meantime, they are finishing up a beach trip to make some special memories together.

In a school environment, there are days and weeks that seem to go so slowly while other moments don’t last long enough. As we finish up the year next week, we hope our students have grown in all areas of their lives: academically, socially, physically, and spiritually. But most of all, we pray they have seen and experienced Christ’s love in a deeper, more meaningful way through His Word as it has been shared in the classroom, in chapel services, and through caring teachers.

Editor’s note: The first song featured in this video is titled Waiting for Me Again and was written and performed by TCS senior Katrina Hyde. The song is a beautiful reminder of the unfailing love of God. He is faithful even when we are unfaithful.
