Everything in between
Posted on May 12, 2022
Warning: This blog post could induce laughter, tears, and everything in between. Why the disclaimer? As a school community, this week has brought a broad spectrum of emotions.
Wait until you see the silly ways our secondary students interpreted fun and crazy Spirit Week themes like Anything But a Backpack Day, Dress Like a Senior Citizen, and Dress Like A Teacher/Student. When we sent Jabez Chavez off to the State Tennis Tournament–the first state qualifier for tennis in school history, our school community displayed support and pride! We also experienced bittersweet feelings as, whether in victory or defeat, more sports seasons came to an end.
That’s not all! We laughed as our drama students performed the comedy, Show and Spell for their last show of the year. More seriously (but still fun), our senior class learned some new life skills during BASICs, an on-campus conference designed just for them. Classes of all grades took field trips to experience new places, including our first graders who created a very special moment underground as they ventured through Laurel Caverns.
God is so good to us! We pray for His wisdom, strength, and power as the school year draws to a close.
