Fullness of Joy

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
Retired WVU football player Casey Legg referred to Psalm 16 as he shared a message with secondary students in chapel today. He spoke candidly of the sorrows he experienced when he chased after other gods, contrasting them with the joys he experiences from walking with Jesus. Afterward, Casey fielded thoughtful questions from the students to round out the session.
Casey’s talk was a reminder that the highest highs or the lowest lows of this life can’t compare to what Christ offers us through salvation. As our high school praise team sang today, “‘Cause on my best day, I’m a child of God. On my worst day, I’m a child of God.”* That truth should bring us great joy!
