Good stuff

We can’t keep up with all the good stuff happening with our students. Just this past week, 13 of our STEM students placed at the North Central West Virginia Math, Science, Energy, and Engineering Fair. (You can read the entire list here.) Senior Reagan Sharp was recognized as an Honorary Secretary of State and spent a day in Charleston, West Virginia. Sophomore Jaclyn Smith was notified she was selected as the state winner for the DAR Christopher Columbus Essay Contest. Her essay will now advance to the Eastern Regional division. Ridge Murdock won first place in the state for third-grade in the E-Week Essay Competition through WVU Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. And if you follow Warrior basketball, then you know that our Lady Warriors contend for a spot in the State Tournament as they host Moorefield tonight at 7 p.m. Our high school boys play in the sectional championship at 7 p.m. tomorrow night (March 1, 2019) at Notre Dame in Clarksburg.
At the top of this week, our eighth-grade students took a trip to Charleston, West Virginia, to participate in the Youth in Government program. Back here at home, students and teachers dressed thematically to celebrate Spirit Week leading up to our annual Hoop-A-Thon. Our preschoolers shot hoops and hula-hooped today, and the rest of the school will finish out the week with their Hoop-A-Thon activities.
We love watching our students thrive and grow in ALL areas of their life. Local journalist Joe Smith of the Dominion Post wrote a great piece about a few of them here. We are grateful to the Lord for allowing us to partner with families to encourage and instruct “our kids” at Trinity!
