Heroes and History
Posted on November 11, 2021
Today was a day for honoring heroes! Our school community prepared a special Veterans Day Drive-Thru Celebration to honor men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. Students performed patriotic music, greeted veterans with cheers, and presented them refreshments to show appreciation for the sacrifices they have made for our freedoms.
Veterans Day wasn’t the only celebration that took place this past week. Our varsity football team won their home game against Madonna last Friday to clinch a spot in the playoffs. By doing so, they made school history as the first varsity football team to qualify for post-season play. It’s a great time to be a Trinity Christian Warrior! The win extended the season—a wonderful gift for the seniors who were honored that night!
Psalm 105:1 exhorts us to “give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!” We are grateful to Him for giving us a wonderful country where we can worship Him freely and teach our students about our Savior, Jesus! Honoring heroes and watching our students make history are just a few of the extra blessings He has provided.
In keeping with the season of Thanksgiving, our Prayer Team has planned a Day of Prayer and Fasting for November 16, 2021. All are welcome to join us in setting aside this time to express our gratitude to the Lord for His many blessings on our school and seek His favor for the days ahead.
