His presence, our present
Posted on December 16, 2021
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). ~ Matthew 1:23 ESV
With Christmas just a little more than a week away, we are focusing much of our time reminding our students that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. What a miracle! The Son of God came to earth to dwell among us, taking on our sin and dying for us so that we could live in relationship with our Father throughout eternity!
That relationship with God affects all we do. He promises that His presence with be with His children always (Deut. 31:8). Immanuel. God with us.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of the season, focusing on everything but our Savior. At the heart of all our celebrations, may we always be cognizant that the best present is one that only He can give: His presence!
Have a blessed and joy-filled Christmas!
