It’s been an active summer!
Posted on July 12, 2012
If you have paid a visit to the school this summer, you know that the athletic field progression has changed the literal landscape. Dramatically. But, though they may be more subtle, the changes occurring in the Trinity Christian School academic landscape are equally as exciting and dramatic.
Our new Superintendent, Ken Howard, has been actively meeting with faculty and staff, assessing the current state of the school in order to develop the long range plan and vision. Some of the initiatives include a K-12 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Education program, broadening the course offerings through Christian based on-line learning opportunities, pursuing foreign exchange student partnerships, and exploring dual credit course possibilities.
Other changes for this year include new science and social studies curriculum for secondary students, and a planned strategic analysis of the school to facilitate the ACSI accreditation process.
While it is an exciting time in the growth of Trinity Christian School, our purpose remains the same: to provide a life changing education resulting in a Christ-centered worldview…”so they may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).”
An aerial photo, taken in June, shows the amazing transformation on the TCS campus.
Ken Howard has hit the ground running in his role as the new Superintendent of Trinity Christian School.
When students return to classes in August, they will be cheerfully greeted by our new receptionist, Mrs. Ward.
While a familiar face to returning TCS families, Mrs. Woods will no longer be teaching gym classes. She now finds herself behind a desk fulfilling her new role as Finance Manager, while Mr. Gallo, last year’s fifth grade teacher, transitions into the physical education position.
