Life is a Team Sport

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (ESV)
“But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.” 1 Corinthians 12:18-19 (ESV)
God designed us to do life together and our school is a great place for our students to learn how. From the classroom to the playing field or court, we all grow stronger and better when we work together.
It’s been another amazing week at Trinity Christian School. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- The softball team qualified for the OVAC semi-finals after only one win last year.
- Our band performed beautifully for the annual Spring Concert.
- The baseball team played at WVU’s stadium one night and celebrated Senior Night at another game.
- The boys tennis team won their first match of the year.
- The high school track team members have been breaking personal, team, and stadium records left and right.
- We honored our Hoop-A-Thon winners, students who display the spiritual fruit of gentleness, and crowned Prom King Carter Hartsock and Queen Ella Lynch during a chock-full Friday Finale, held a day early (due to the high school prom tomorrow). As part of our new tradition, we ended the assembly by joining our voices in worship.
These highlights don’t even include other sporting events, projects, field trips, and other every day (not to be mistaken for ordinary) activities that our students and teachers have been up to. As you take a minute to watch this week’s video it becomes apparent how life is very much a team sport.
