New year, new theme!
Posted on July 30, 2012
Increasing.
That is the theme for the 2012-2013 TCS school year. Chosen by chaplain, Seth Campbell, and the Bible curriculum committee, it is based on the verse found in Luke 2:52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” (ESV)
Increasing in our relationship with Him. Increasing in our relationships with one another. Increasing in wisdom. That will be the focus of the administration, faculty, staff, and students, as we work together to “educate for life”. In keeping with Increasing, enrollment remains open, with financial aid still available. Interested families can contact the school by calling 304-291-4659 Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 3:00pm or by filling out an inquiry form.
As we move forward into a new year, let’s take a glance back at a few of last year’s activities. And let it be our collective prayer to Increase in 2012-2013!
The student body wrapped and filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, often enclosing hand-written notes for the recipients.
The High school hall was transformed into an eatery, as faculty served students a delicious Italian meal prior to the Christmas break.
The third grade class hosted the “Good News-trition” fair, welcoming hungry guests with samples and smiles!
West Virginia University soccer players and coaching staff members read aloud to elementary students.
Such a fun day when the elementary students celebrated reading by dressing like their favorite Dr. Suess character!
