Now Presenting

Between announcing the first-semester honor roll and hosting the Science and Social Studies Fair, this was a week of celebrating our students’ hard work and achievements.

After much preparation and research, science students in grades 7th and 9th and social studies students in grades 6th, 8th, and 10th presented their projects to a panel of judges who selected first, second and third-place winners. The first-place winners move on to the regional competition; second and third-place winners are alternates. Special awards were also given for unique topic choice, creative displays, most creative model, and more. We are very proud of our students’ efforts!

Congratulations to the following first, second, and third-place award winners:

Middle School Social Studies Fair:  First Place – Rebecca Cumpston; Second Place – Isabella Goldsmith; Third Place – Kate Fletcher and Estelle Roderick

High School Social Studies Fair:  First Place – Mattea Stinoski; Second Place – Ashlyn Street; Third Place – Miles Steptoe

In addition to the fair, our secondary students were well-represented on the first-semester honor roll. You can view the entire list here. We congratulate the honorees for a job well done!

We also want to give a shout-out to senior Ethan Tomlinson who was named second chair alto saxophone in the West Virginia All-State Band. What an honor!

Just for fun, we’ve included photos from the Christmas parties and other activities to round out this week’s video. Celebrate with us as we applaud our students’ achievements!
