Trinity Christian School recognizes that technology is an integral part of today’s educational experience. From enhancing communication between students, parents, and teachers to expanding course offerings, technology is an area of emphasis and growth at Trinity Christian School.
Technology in the classroom includes Mimio technology, a computer lab, and a mobile computer lab with wi-fi access in every classroom. RenWeb, our school management system, also enhances our educational programs. Online learning opportunities are available for interested students. For the 2015-16 school year, we are introducing the use of Google Classroom.
One-to-One Pilot Program
For the 2015-16 academic year, the school is piloting a 1:1 device program in the sixth grade. Each student will be asked to bring a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Education, a device specifically designed for classroom use. It is constructed with durable glass and comes in a ruggedized protective case. With an Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and a Multi Window® feature, this tablet will enable students to view multiple screens at the same time and even browse educational content and type notes simultaneously. The 1:1 pilot program will expand to include other grades for the 2016-17 school year, based on careful evaluation of the effectiveness of the sixth-grade pilot program.
RenWeb is a web-based school management system that enables Trinity Christian School to seamlessly share data among administration, the classroom, and home. Once your student is enrolled you will receive a password for the Trinity RenWeb portal, providing students and their families secure access to information such as class schedules, homework assignments, and grades. The RenWeb system also provides a password-protected means of disseminating information to our families.
