Remembering March
Posted on March 21, 2013
Though the temperatures don’t reflect it, Spring is officially here. It is fitting that, while we look forward to new growth in our surroundings, we also look for growth in our spiritual lives as well. That was the focus of Spiritual Emphasis Days.
Held this last week before Spring Break, these special days featured times of prayer, worship, and teaching. Elementary students enjoyed chapels presented by Children’s Ministry Director, Jenny Dailey. Secondary students were challenged to be followers of Jesus, not just fans, by youth pastors Josh and Danny Howard. The brothers led the large group sessions, accompanied by the high school worship band. Breakout workshops were conducted by faculty, staff, and guests.
This month also marked the second annual Arts Gala and a variety of academic fairs, affording students the opportunity to showcase their talents and develop their research and presentation skills. All in keeping with the mission of Trinity Christian School which is to help accomplish God’s purpose in the lives of students, teachers, staff, and parents as disciples of Jesus Christ, resulting in a positive influence on our community, our nation, and the world.
Seventh grade students presented their display boards during the recent Missions Fair.
Jenny Dailey shared her enthusiasm for the Word of God with interactive chapels for the elementary students during Spiritual Emphasis Days.
Working on their winning class cheer, the sixth grade students exuded energy while participating in an assembly for Spiritual Emphasis Days.
Featuring artwork by students from all grade levels, live music, and refreshments, the Arts Gala was an enjoyable way to raise funds for the art department.
The culmination of Pi week, student winners of the poster, memorization, and pie bake-off, enthusiastically threw a pie at the teacher of their choice.
Preschool students created Easter angels, as they learned that He is risen!
Easter gardens, fashioned by the sixth grade Bible students, are reminders of the center of our faith.
