Savor the Moment
Posted on May 25, 2023
As the year winds down, the traditions and ceremonies ramp up. It is fun and emotional and, at times, exhausting. But whether you have a senior graduating or a child moving on to the next level grade level, try to breathe and savor the moment.
Savor the moment your child can’t stop talking about that field trip they took. Savor the moment they present their first project in front of the class. Savor the moment they take your breath away when they wear a prom dress or suit for the first—or last—time. Savor the moment they run onto a field with laughter in their eyes and confidence in their stride. Savor the moment they climb the podium to receive a hard-earned award. Savor the firsts and the lasts. Savor each and every one.
We all know that moments are fleeting, so amidst the busyness try to savor the good and perfect gifts that God gives us, including the moments in your child’s life. We count it a privilege and joy to have shared so many wonderful and memorable moments with your children this year!
Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. ~ Psalm 127:3 (NLT)
