Start with Gratitude

Since the beginning of the year, we’ve begun our Friday mornings with a time of worship with students and staff. It’s amazing how focusing on Christ—who He is and all He’s done—sets a tone of gratitude for the rest of the day. It is quickly becoming a highlight of our weekly routine!
Another highlight is our once-a-month tradition called Friday Finale. This is when our elementary and secondary students and staff gather to recognize student achievements and do other fun and meaningful activities as a group. During our first Friday Finale of the year, we honored students who exhibited biblical traits such as faithfulness, loyalty, leadership, boldness, forgiveness, repentance, humility, courage, perseverance, obedience, and prayerfulness. Students displaying these qualities will be acknowledged at each month’s Friday Finale to encourage us all to have Christlike character. Only the Spirit can transform us to be more and more like Him as 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us.
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
