Students impress at Science Fair

Trinity Christian School students from grades 7 and 9 participated in the North Central West Virginia Math, Science, Energy, and Engineering Fair on Saturday, March 6, 2015. The students, their projects and awards are listed below.
Grade 7 – Junior Division
Regan Baker − Biological Science Division – 2nd Place
Samuel Emery − Environmental Science Division – 1st Place

Several students received special recognition for their entries. Sarah Seitz and Samuel Emery were selected for the Broadcom Masters Science Competition. This is a National competition – with the final winners winning up to $25,000.
The work of Jacob Martin and Brianna Wightman will be entered into the Water Environmental Federation’s Stockholm Junior Water Prize Competition. The national winner for this award will receive a $10,000 scholarship and a trip to Stockholm, Sweden for the International competition.
All of the 9th grade participants will move on to the West Virginia State Fair competition later in March as they attempt to qualify for the International Competition.
