Summer (not really a) break
Posted on June 21, 2017
Don’t let the term Summer Break fool you. Classes might be over, but our campus is buzzing with activity. From Summer Camp to three-week athletic practices to new student interviews, there is much excitement on our beautiful hill.
Our students are also branching off-campus for unique opportunities to develop in leadership and learning. Elementary and middle school students traveled to Atlanta for the National History Bee, while rising seniors ventured to Jackson’s Mill for WV Boys State and to Wheeling for WV Girls State. Rising juniors, Joel Robertson, Briston Bennett, Claire LaPlante and Rachel Rosen, took a road trip to the University of Charleston to participate in the 2017 West Virginia Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar.
Meanwhile, the Summer Camp crew is active with field trips, crafting, swimming, and learning. Weekly themes range from West Virginia history to animals to the arts. There is never a dull moment for this group!
Behind the scenes, the summer staff is working on all the details for the start of school in August. If you know someone who is new to Trinity and is considering a Christian education for their family, please let them know that the Try Trinity Tuition Award Program is back for 2017! You can share the information from this link: Try Trinity Tuition Award Program.
We are grateful to the Lord for enabling us to offer year-round programming. We love welcoming students and families back to campus during Summer Break!
Summer Camp is action-packed! The kids are having a blast and building lots of memories.
