If you came to the Fall Festival this past Saturday, you may have seen teacher Miley Joyce teaching kids a dance she choreographed to the country song called, “Thank You Lord”. The kiddos mimicked her intently as they learned the moves first without music. Confident after the lesson, they then swayed, hopped, and clapped to the song. It was a joyful scene!
“Thank You Lord” could be an anthem for this year’s Fall Festival and even the week. There are so many reasons to be thankful! Not only we were able to resume the festival after canceling last year due to the pandemic, the weather cleared up so that all of the outside activities could take place including riding a barrel train, hay wagon, or horses, petting goats, taking the dance lesson, and enjoying a magic show. The festival also included face painting, carnival games, a cakewalk, inflatables, and more!
The Fall Festival was a highlight of this past week, but by no means was it all that happened. Just like the song, there is a long list of things for which we are thankful to the Lord. Maybe you will create your own list as you watch this week’s video.
