Thanksgiving and Praise

One of the best parts of being in a Christian school is hearing one of our students share scripture and lead us in prayer during the morning announcements. This morning, sixth-grader Lula read Psalm 100:4:

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

What an amazing way to start the day—with thanksgiving and praise to the Lord, our God! In a world where we are surrounded by so many negative messages, focusing on giving thanks and praise to Him helps us keep everything in perspective. Isn’t it great that our students can help lead others to serve Him with hearts of thanksgiving and praise?

This past week we caught up on Christmas parties which were delayed before the holiday break. From sock exchanges to wearing pajamas to eating special treats, the kids had a great time celebrating! As you watch this video, which includes images from those celebrations and more, we hope your heart is filled with thanksgiving and praise for His goodness to us!
