The Lord Will Provide
Posted on February 3, 2022
Recently, a friend of the school paid an unannounced visit to campus, well after dismissal time. The friend, who requested anonymity, came in response to God’s prompting to give the school a donation.
The monetary gift was an unexpected and welcome blessing, to be sure. But even more, the visitor offered words of affirmation for the work we do here at Trinity Christian School. Just as described in Proverbs 16:24, the gracious words were “like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”
As the conversation came to a close, our friend sang a verse from a hymn with the reassuring message that the Lord will always provide.
The birds without barn or storehouse are fed,
From them let us learn to trust for our bread:
His saints, what is fitting, shall ne’er be denied,
So long as it’s written, the Lord will provide~ from “The Lord Will Provide” by John Newton
We certainly have seen His faithful provision in so many forms over the years at Trinity Christian School. Most recently, He has provided two new staff members to help us fulfill our mission of educating students for life. If you have yet to meet our Front Desk Administrative Staff Amy Arafat, please stop by to introduce yourself. Amy has cheerfully jumped into the multi-faceted role of overseeing the front desk. Her heart to serve the Lord and others, coupled with her administrative experience, make her well-suited for this position.
Just today, we welcomed Guidance Counselor Dr. Charlotte Taylor Payne. Although it was only her first day on the job, Dr. Charlotte has already met with a few students! Dr. Charlotte has a passion for connecting students to the resources they need to grow in their God-given gifts as they prepare for post-secondary life. She wants to encourage both students and parents to “not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6)
As you watch this week’s video, it is our hope that your heart will be filled with gratitude to our Father who graciously cares for each Trinity Christian student, parent, and staff member. Whatever needs each one is facing today, the Lord will provide!
