This is Love

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” ~ 1 John 4:11-12
What a jam-packed week! We ended last week with a White-Out basketball night with three home games in one night—which included honoring our eighth-grade basketball players. Then we started this week with Valentine’s Day celebrations, followed by a Pastor Appreciation Breakfast, and our Social Studies and Science Fairs. We topped the week off with a send-off for our middle school girls basketball teams to the Mason-Dixon Championship final. It’s a good thing there is a long weekend ahead of us!
With all the activity, one thing that stands out is seeing how our teachers encourage our students to learn about and receive Christ’s love. With that, it only follows that we walk in His footsteps by loving one another and teaching them to do the same. That’s not always easy. Young and old, we all fail miserably at demonstrating unconditional love at times. But knowing His mercy and forgiveness towards us should compel us even more!
