A timely word

“…a word in season, how good it is!” ~ Proverbs 15:23b
Has someone ever encouraged you with the right words at the right time? This week Ms. Michelle received a timely letter from our faithful friends at the Stover Foundation with an amazing gift of $10,000 to our school! The donation is significant as our fundraising was greatly impacted by the pandemic. But even more significant was the impact of the words in the accompanying letter from Mr. Williamson, President of the Stover Foundation, during a time of so many unknowns.
“The gospel has been around for an exceedingly long time. Covid-19 is not the first challenge Christians have been called to face, and it will not be the last, for only the Lord is the Alpha and Omega. We have been commissioned to tell his good news somewhere between those parameters.”
These true and timely words are reinforced by evidence of God’s love and provision. We see His hand in staff members who are going above and beyond to offer virtual options and create plans to keep students and staff safe in the coming year. We see His heart in a former employee coming back to help launch our new infant and toddler program, the WELL. We see His love extended through the family who filled up their Suburban with toys and books to help equip the new early education classrooms. We feel His strength resulting from the prayers of our Spiritual Advisory Board when they led staff and families in a virtual prayer meeting.
The Lord has called us to this work of educating for life for this time. He is not surprised by the challenges we face and He is making it abundantly clear that He is with us in them.
We feel refueled for that work! We are preparing for our students’ return and anticipate God doing many good things in their hearts and minds. We are humbled and blessed to be a part of their journey.
