Light of the world

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” ~ Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world! Our theme for 2019-20 is derived from this passage of scripture. What an amazing calling and challenge, to let the light of Christ shine through us!
His light has certainly been shining on us, with folks sacrificially giving and working together in preparation for the school year and an influx of new students. Between upgrades and renovations to our facilities and moving classrooms to make room for additional students, this summer has been a whirlwind! So many good things happening on our hill!
Starting a new school year is a cause for celebration, so the school community came together last evening to kick off the new year with prayer, fellowship, and food at our Back-to-School Bash. Today, there were smiles (and a few tears) as parents joined us to pray and send the students off to their classes. It is such a blessing to welcome new and old families back to school!
We are looking forward to a year filled with His grace, His guidance, His love, and His light.
