Love is…God

According to essays written by our fourth-graders, love is equated to everything from Chick-Fil-A nuggets to playing at recess to texting with a friend. But while many of their responses were cute and humorous, the students had a grasp on important truths, too:
Love is…kindness, grace, and forgiveness.
Love is…God, who is there when I need Him.
Love is…when He died.
So true. We love because He loved us first. (1 John 4:19) We are blessed to celebrate His love this Valentine’s Day with the students entrusted to us.
