Oh the places!

“Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!”  –  Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss

Trinity students have been going places of late. Whether experiencing our government first-hand or traveling to Honduras to serve on the mission field, our students are racking up mileage and gaining invaluable life experience.

Even within the classroom, our students are traveling. They enter ancient civilizations through their study of history, travel fictional worlds through literature, and taste other cultures in foreign language class.

Through all of the activities and lessons, one thing remains constant: our mission. As our students find and fulfill the purpose God has for their lives, there is no telling the places they will go! Three Trinity students traveled with members of their church to serve at the Rancho Oasis for Youth in Honduras. They taught music lessons, Bible studies, English classes, and assisted with training at the trade school. IMG_3491 TCS student Dominic Raymond posed with Senator Bob Beach during a recent visit to the State Capitol. Dominic was preparing for his trip to Washington, DC, where he is currently serving as a West Virginia delegate for the United States Senate Youth Program. Eighth grade students attended seminars as part of the Youth in Government program held in Charleston, WV. The French 1 class recently studied French terms related to food and grocery shopping. Their reward was to create recipes and share the French specialties with the class. Author and Trinity parent Traci Vallano guided fifth grade students through the creative journey of writing a mystery. For a History project, ninth grade created 3-dimensional objects related to the Roman empire.
