Re-gifting

“Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” ~ 1 Chronicles 29:14b
When you think about it, we are all re-gifters. Everything we have, everything we give, comes from our Father’s gracious hand. So if we can give gifts this Christmas, it’s because of Him. If we can serve the community or donate to a charity, it’s due to His provision. If we can encourage those around us, it’s only because He has given us hope, peace, and joy. If we can share the gift of Jesus, it is because He first filled our hearts with His love.
This past week we had the Night of Code, service projects, basketball games, and more. The band marches tonight in the Morgantown Christmas parade and the Elementary Christmas program is tomorrow night. Although this season is busy, we are cognizant of all the gifts He has given, including the students who He has entrusted to us. They need to be challenged and encouraged, given discipline and kindness. Most of all they need to be reminded that He has called them to be re-gifters of His love and grace!
