Scratching the surface
Posted on January 10, 2019
It’s a joy to share the wonderful things that happen in our school through these weekly blog posts! But while a photo can capture a minute from an exciting game or a fun classroom activity, those images only scratch the surface. There are many meaningful moments that escape the camera’s lens: a gentle hug for the child who is having a bad day, long hours invested by a teacher outside the classroom, or the look on a student’s face when they aced a hard test. We’ll never be able to share all of the sweet interactions or hard-won achievements that occur daily at Trinity, but we will continue to try. We are glad you are following along!
Our basketball teams and cheerleading squads are seeing a good return on their hard work! As of Tuesday, the high school boys are ranked #2 in the state while the girls are ranked #5. The middle school teams continue to battle and improve. All our Little Warrior teams have winning records! These photos are from the Lady Warriors’ victory against Doddridge County. We’re proud of our student-athletes!
Our cheerleaders contribute to creating a winning environment for our teams! Our high school team worked hard to fundraise for new stunt mats. If you head to an elementary game, you’ll catch our Little Warrior cheerleaders wearing their new uniforms.
The Pre-K4 class embraced the wintry weather by going out to play in the snow. They also made snowmen in their pretend center and snowman stew in their discovery center.
After working since the beginning of the year, our high school art students have completed painting the stall doors of the two main girls’ bathrooms. They have done a beautiful job with this project that is meant to encourage and inspire fellow students and guests!
Congratulations to Meizhi Belt on winning the school’s National Geographic Geography Bee!
