This past week has been filled with fun events! 20 teams had a great time racing around Morgantown on Saturday to see who would win the first Fall Photo Frenzy: A Photo Scavenger Hunt Competition. Then we started Spirit Week on Monday, which seems extra special this time around since the last one we held in the spring was all virtual. It feels good to maintain traditions, such as celebrating Homecoming tomorrow, even when we have to adapt them to meet COVID 19 guidelines. After starting this school year virtually, being on campus together to mark these occasions helps us to savor them a bit more.
Our annual theme from Hebrews 13:8 continually comes to mind as we near the end of first quarter of the school year.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Although things are not quite “normal”, we can look to the One who never changes, knowing that He has promised to never leave or forsake us. Meanwhile, we will thank God for the gifts He gives us every day!
