Simple gifts

Every day is filled with simple gifts. As a school community, we share gifts of discovery, friendship, and growth. These gifts are passed from teacher to student, mentor to mentee, and friend to friend. But, ultimately, they come from our Creator.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. ~ James 1:17
So, as the week comes to a close, it’s a joy to reflect on some of the simple gifts from the last few weeks: silly games in gym class, the sports teams’ successes, and student body officer candidates’ speeches. Praying together for See You at the Pole. Hearing our band prepare for their appearance in tomorrow’s WVU Homecoming Parade in Morgantown. Our eighth-grade class traveling throughout the state to study West Virginia history first-hand.
Every day, simple gifts for which we are very, very grateful.
