Spring fever

We have a bad case of spring fever in the best kind of way! Between the warm temperatures, the longer days, and the success of our basketball teams, it’s impossible to not be excited!

Since last week, our high school boys basketball team not only captured the regional title, they advanced to the semi-finals of the State Tournament with a big win against Greenbrier West! Their season continues tomorrow, March 15, when they meet undefeated Webster County for the semi-final game at 1 p.m. in Charleston. (If you can’t make it to the game, you can listen to the live stream at WV MetroNews.)

Supporting our teams means being flexible with schedules. For the students who aren’t making the trip to Charleston on tournament game days, our staff holds traditional instructional days which provide great opportunities for exploratory learning.

So many other good things are happening: our Middle School Coding Elective class is competing online in the WV Cyber Robotics Coding Competition. Spring sports teams are finally able to practice outside in preparation for their seasons. All of these activities have one common thread running through them–our mission: to glorify God through honoring Christ, inspiring excellence, and educating for life.
