The final lap

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.  ~  Joshua 1:9 ESV

We’re ending the year in the same way we started — with strength and courage!

The finish line is in sight. By tomorrow evening, our accomplished graduates will have received their diplomas and the rest of our students will have completed their coursework to progress to the next level. What is our prayer for them? That they would be strong and courageous whatever their next step, be it college or first grade, knowing that the Lord will be with them wherever they go.

Talk about strong and courageous! Our small-but-mighty girls’ track team finished their season strong, placing 8th out of 27 teams at the State Meet with only 4 girls participating. Every girl who represented Trinity at the meet is returning as an all-state athlete! Shawnee Jenkins became the first Trinity track athlete to earn a championship title when she won the 100-meter hurdles. Reagan Sharp placed second in the long jump, and the shuttle hurdle team of Shawnee Jenkins, Reagan Sharp, Kaylie Laskody and Emily Braham placed fourth. Congratulations to these ladies and Coach Brooks!

We’re excited to introduce middle school football for the 2018-19 school year! Students were fitted for equipment last week. To learn more, contact Athletic Director Cary Woods. (A couple of members from the administration tried to sneak on the team. Fortunately, Coach Rick Hill was on to them!)
